    Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby Poll: Is McCain Making a Move?

    Pollster John Zogby: “Is McCain making a move? The three-day average holds steady, but McCain outpolled Obama today, 48% to 47%. He is beginning to cut into Obama’s lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all. “Obama’s lead among women declined, and it looks like it is occurring because McCain is solidifying the support of conservative women, which is something we saw last time McCain picked up in the polls. If McCain has a good day tomorrow, we will eliminate Obama’s good day three days ago, and we could really see some tightening in this rolling average. But for now, hold on.”

    @Alexandru Petria. E destul timp pentru ea. În America, alegerile sunt marţi.

    @din chicago. Keep the change!

    @octavpelin. Ar trebui să meargă cu el şi în celelalte state-cheie.

    @Marius Mina. Yap. Văzusem ce ai postat pe blogul tău. Foarte mişto poza. Dar dacă tot ai scos-o pe aia super-mişto cu şepcuţa, ai putea să mi-o trimiţi pe mail, că n-am apucat s-o salvez şi mi-a plăcut mult de tot. Una din cele mai mişto fotomontaje ever, din punctul meu de vedere.

    Excelent discursul, si corect, intradevar. Am vazut zilele trecute pe yahoo harta unde sunt marcate statele in care sunt majoritari cei doi. Reiese din ea ca Obama e majoritar in principiu in statele de oameni bogati. Ca o paranteza, e bine stiut faptul ca are toata evreimea in spate.
    Sa speram ca sunt si in aceste state destui americani de bun simt care vor merge la vot pt Mac Cain. Din cate stiu e o problema si cu procentul de americani care vor merge la vot, pt ca e destul de mic.

    Felicitari pt postarile legate de aceasta campanie. Nu le-am vazut chair pe toate, dar in cele pe care le-am citit, ai punctat foarte bine esentialul.

    As the candidates make their closing arguments before the election, the race has tightened with Barack Obama now leading John McCain by 47 percent to 44 percent among likely voters, according to a FOX News poll released Thursday.

    Last week Obama led by 49-40 percent among likely voters.

    Obama has a bit more strength of support going into the final week. Among his backers, 88 percent say they support him “strongly” and 12 percent “only somewhat.” For McCain, 78 percent of his voters support him “strongly” and 22 percent “only somewhat.”

    In addition, 66 percent of Obama’s supporters say it is “extremely important” to them that their candidate wins compared to 59 percent of McCain supporters.

    The race has tightened in part because of changes in a couple of important swing voting groups. Independents back Obama by 5 percentage points today, down from a 9-point edge last week. Similarly, among white Catholics, Obama held an 11-point edge over McCain last week and today they split 46-46.

    “Independent voters have long been regarded as one of the keys to this race and these results may foreshadow a tightening in the battleground states where independents carry disproportionate weight,” says Ernie Paicopolos, a principal of Opinion Dynamics Corporation.
